I remember when we watched it on "The Wonderful World of Disney". Great fun. Every Sunday, we set the VCR to record the show. This was such a great film: Cat inherits millions. Caretaker/Groundskeeper and his family stay on to watch over cat. Son of caretaker (who doesn't read very well) learns the cat can talk - and is highly educated. Cat starts to teach boy. Meanwhile, a slimy relative who only got a small inheritance, hypnotizes a man into kid- uh- "catnapping" (did I really just write cat napping?) our hero in order to gain the entire inheritance. With the cat gone, slimy relative threatens the family with eviction as soon as he gets control of the estate. The boy and his sister take off in search of the cat and save their home. Guess what happens. This is Disney. Happy endings for all.
