The Narrative Hobbles At Times, But Their Is Something Appealing About Its Simplicity And Its Landscapes
30 July 2020
I've watched his film twice, and my feelings about it are unchanged. Despite some rather unprofessional performances their is still something appealing about its simplicity. It also contains pretty slices of America's landscape, its small towns and the iconic Route 66. Along with some interesting photography, and a captivating beauty (Laurie Bird.) All of it helps to balance thngs against a narrative that seems to hobble at times. Overall, not a great film, but a good one and worth watching at least once.
