Just before I dive in. I'm a indian-dutch guy born and raised in Europe. When I normally think about Indian series from back in the day. Things like washing a laptop or placing an empty cooker (without chane) on the gas come first time mind.all these over tge top scenes or cringe humor things comes up sometimes almost childish.
Masaba Masaba is none of that. The series (though dramatized), has REAL people, with real problems that do have sex. It speaks so much to what some Indians (in bigger cities) actually go through, instead of the fantasy world that we see in for example Kjo's movies. Aside from that the lead actress is a brown girl with curly hair. Not another model with little acting talent (I coukd list a couple of them). On top of that there is Neena Gupta who imo belong in the list of actresses like Rekha, Dimple, Shabana and probably Smita.
