So low budget it works

Warning: Spoilers
So low budget it works. The viewer gets the feel of Drive-In's external environment of a small Texas Towns where the Roller Rink then a evening at the Drive Inn is what one does when football season is over, back in the 70's. There is the development of 3 stories. A young shy guy. A girl, who is bullied by her boy friend the gang leader who's looking for some small town gang fight action at the Drive Inn, and two goof who plan to rob the Drive-Inn. The three mention character driven stories blend into the events which happen one weekend at the Drive Inn. There has to be a few real life which are over exaggerated that the movie makers spliced into Drive-In. The Drive In fight, and the van door plot devices could of happened. The Disaster 76 film in the back ground is a slow growing joke of watching one event happening after another is so silly. For an extremely low budget film Drive-In has strong directing, and solid acting. Drive-In delivers. 8 stars
