Dallas: War of the Ewings (1998 TV Movie)
4/10
Poorly Researched Storyline

Warning: Spoilers
Are the Dallas TV movies bad? Yes. But to fans of the show there is something to enjoy in them for sure. This one is by far the weaker of the two, however. There are laughs to be had, the chemistry between Bobby, Sue Ellen and JR is, as always, wonderful and a treat to watch. The problems begin with the storyline, which hinges on one major plot point. Carter intends buying Ray Krebb's ranch for the vast oil reserves and entering into Ewing Oil. There's only one major problem here--- Carter McKay should already own the ranch. He bought it from Ray back in season 11 of the show... How they could possibly have managed to forget such a major detail is beyond me and all I could think of frankly as I watched. And really takes you out of the story when you realize how little attention or care was paid to this sequel. A real shame since Ray's return could have been a fun thing to explore. Definitely one to miss unless you're a big fan of the show and want a good laugh at the shenanigans and catch up with your old friends the Ewings.
