Bad Samaritan (2018)
4/10
Too long and too inconsistent

Don't forget this is my subjective opinion.

If you're a fan of David Tennant and have to see everything he's in, then this review won't stop you. However, if you're looking for something good to watch, look elsewhere. Riddled with inconsistencies and frustrating plot contrivances. Avoid.

Acting was good by the whole cast; the script was bad.

Plot: A thief stumbles upon something more sinister than booty which kicks off a cat and mouse situation.

I'm still not sure what the bad guy's motivations were. Many things went unexplained.

The bad guy was creepy for the sake of being creepy which ruined it for me.

Genre: More thriller than horror. Very small amount of gore.

Cinematography: Fine, never felt like things were being obscured.

Length: Personally, I wanted this movie to be over by the time the final scenes were playing.

Some scenes felt like filler as the characters were never developed. Many scenes were used just to set up stakes for the characters.

Believability: Very little. The police in this movie are incompetents who respond to burglary calls but not threats of bodily harm.

There is one scene where a car's rear is facing a garage door but the next shot has it driving forwards out (and that's not even the most ridiculous part of that scene).

Soundtrack: Not bad. Nothing that stands out personally.

Would I watch this again: No. I hope to never watch this again.
