Brassed Off (1996)
6/10
Aged well

This aged well thanks to it being well written with heartfelt performances all round, some laughs and being about an emotive subject that even now stirs passions and reminds us of a dark time for the working man in this country.

Yes the plot is contrived and you can see it all happening well before it does but when it has its heart in the right place with likable characters that fades into the background.

What does let it down is the melodrama and that clunky plot lines with no real room for nuance it comes across as fairly black and white.
