I always liked the little I knew of James Randi so it was a real pleasure to get a closer look at his life. The slight focus on his private life doesn't bother me as much as some critics apparently but I do agree with not going more in depth into his mission to debunk frauds and looking at more examples/cases he was involved in. I also get the willingness to keep some of the secrets behind the tricks intact, but *some* explanations would have been a bit more satisfyingly.
