At first I was really pissed about the last episode as it seemed to leave all these things unresolved. However, after thinking about it I think I understand what the writers did here. Throughout the series you are made to feel compassion for Frie and you are shown all the lies and mistakes the others involved made. By the last episode I was convinced she was completely innocent and the one that was wronged despite the accusations that she is mentally ill and able to fool others. The last episode, or really the last few minutes, brings all of this into doubt. I think it shows you that Frie is perhaps guilty and that the audience was duped by this emotional woman. After all the scenes do allude to her involvement. This is not spelled out but I think that is the purpose. It makes you question if you were fooled.
