Of course the scenes of knocking on doors and pulling people over are scripted. My friend's uncle is the guy in the Superbird (Danny says "this thing is sick! I want this car!" His uncle is in the passenger seat)
He told me his uncle was approached by the crew before the cameras were on and told exactly what to say and do, after he signed the affidavit of course..
Ok, that said, the show itself is great! Shannon and especially Ryan are my favorites. Ryan is a God at painting, and Shannon is very knowledgeable and great at restoring bikes. I'm glad Shannon doesn't use his name or family heritage as a means of being famous. (He's the nephew of the late Eddie Aikau)
I'm still watching the new season of this great show. Hoping it keeps going!
