First off, I thought from the reviews that I wouldn't like this movie. But I thought it was really good! I was looking for a romance with that forbidden-love type of feel but I also wanted a little bit of a dramatic plot in the background. This was a great choice! I walked away more than satisfied. I don't usually like Keira Knightly but I thought she did great in this movie, she didn't bother me at all. The chemistry between her and Skarsgard is great. The only complaint I have is the ending, but I think it was more of a preference thing. I didn't like the way it ended, but other people might be fine with it. I would say if you're looking for a period-piece romance, this is a winner. If you're looking for a movie with more of a history focused plot rather than focusing on the characters and how they deal with their situations, then it could be a hit or miss for you. But it's definitely worth a watch.
