As a fan of music.. Country has always been up there as a favourite and now it's even more so. Following this series which for me is just recently, I've found the value in owning the box set and watching it every day. Gladly this alleviates the waiting from week to week when it's easy to forget how it's going, so the story both grows and unfolds without missing a note. From the beginning I thought every character was right for the role, and it covers so many aspects of what life is all about, being based around a music community is the added bonus. I'm sure we all hear how rough the music industry can be and this is no exception. Success, failure, fame and fortunes won and lost probably more in this business than any other. Well written, superbly acted, glitter and panache all mixed up in a hell of a ride. I don't really know that I've ever seen a drama better than this ... ever. I love the music and now own a few of the CDs too..for the car..so top down when the sun shines and I can still recall moments on the move. I'm even hip now with my young nieces who've seen it a few times each.. confirming the audience is reaching those you might not think it would. The attraction of the singing is such that there is no trying to make words sound completely different to what they should.. I cannot understand many of the more recent artists who think tree rhymes with day..! These are genuine artists who can sing and make a very good job of it too.. Highly recommended..
