This insulting TV movie makes Herbie Goes Bananas look classic. Horrible in every way. Every bit of wit, heart, class that was in the original, is replaced by obvious, unfunny, annoying. Trying to justify the magic of Herbie by creating some BS backstory of it being a scientific achievement? The writers/producers of this dreck simply didn't understand the original film AT ALL.
