10/10
trick crime in southern France
13 December 2020
This movie overshadowed by the French New Wave focuses on a wanted gangster who crosses from Italy into France, only to face new challenges. "Classe tous risques" (which means "consider all the risks" in English) isn't the most intense or grittiest movie, but the plot's subtlety combined with the cinematography make it a true classic. José Giovanni based the protagonist on a man whom he met in jail (who was in fact a Nazi collaborator).

The movie failed to find an audience upon its initial release, but has since earned its rightful praise. It's not a masterpiece, but still one that I recommend.
