Chapter Seven 'Nothing to Hide'

I like the organic way some of the Heroes intertwine with each other.

Micah wants his dad D.L. to be more heroic. D.L. gets his chance when he saves a woman from a burning car. However he gets an assist from Hiro who just happens to be passing through.

Claire's brother finds a videotape of her getting injured and then healing herself. He thinks his sister is a freak and her secret might become public.

Matt is getting drawn deeper into looking for a mysterious serial killer called Sylar. He also hears what his partner really thinks about him.

The episode slowly provides details of some of the characters. Nathan Petrelli's wife's disability might be the reason why he fooled around in Las Vegas. Although when a journalist gets close to the truth Peter helps out to divert blame.

There is a fractious relationship between D.L. and his estranged wife Niki Sanders. You really do think they have a volatile passive/aggressive link.

When reviewing an episode so many years after its broadcast. You get a different context when further information comes to light much later. Tim Kring was proud of his diverse cast. Scratch a little deeper and he failed to protect actor Leonard Roberts who played D.L. Allegedly he had an unhappy experience with his co-star and she does not come out well from it. As someone later remarked to Roberts. The hot blonde will get to keep her job, the black actor will not.
