Trapped was better-known for have reveling Barbara Peyton with her blazing sex appeal, that flourished as the new Veronica Lake due such sameness, sadly future advents at his private life as sexual involving with married famous actors and producers as well inflicting in many gossips and also scandals bringing unrecoverable havoc at her promising career, enabling to her enters in self-destruction process with alcoholism and even prostitution that drove at her premature death at 39 years old by heart and liver failure.

This movie almost was lost forever due the copy available was in so bad shape, when appears miraculously a good collector's copy that allowed the Film Noir Foundation a proper restoration by UCLA Film and Television Archives, the plot summarized is about a counterfeit money that came back at the L.A. streets, the money is an accurate print from the same plates from a disbanded gang whose the leader Tris Stewart (Lloyd Bridges) was convicted and seemingly he hasn't anything that may connection with new wave of fake cash, then federal agents enter in touch with Tris offering a parole in order to reach of new the owner of the old plates, therefore the plan fails when Tris gets rid of the Police officer and himself looking for to former partner thru his girlfriend Meg Dixon (Barbara Payton).

Not so easy the police track down Tris that found his partner broken and drunk for gambling, he sold the plates to an old dealer locate at Los Angeles, Richard Fleischer on contract with RKO was borrowed to Eagle-Lion Films that was in financial trouble at its time, although the movie gave some relief from the box office wasn't enough to save the Company of the brankrup!!
