Satanik (1968)

Temporary like Venus.

Like "Diabolik" starring John Philip Law, "Satanik " is based on an Italian fumetto (erotic comics) ,the action of which has been modified ; Marnie ,an ugly girl ,had parents and two sisters who treated her like dirt ,and on the screen ,she remains a scientist, but without any family .

Although the professor with whom she works tells her that the mixture they have invented to rejuvenate the cells works on animals but makes them aggressive ,she wants to experiment it on herself (her face is so repulsive it scares everybody ) ;and she kills her collaborator before ingesting the concoction , therefore she was born to be bad (with extenuating circumstances, just the same ! ) This magic potion turns her into the sexiest girl in town ; she uses her beauty to seduce wealthy men and pretty soon ,she has the police and gangsters hot on her heels. The screenplay verges on parody , and the movie is more ridiculous than scary (the comics were) ; from Spain ( where flamenco is used as filler) to Switzerland , where her new lover has a tricky way of spinning the roulette in his luxury casino. But , like in the comics, the serum effects are temporary , which is annoying when she's with a lover.
