I like Paul Newman and Ed Asher, so I tolerated this film. No chemistry at all between Newman and his love interest; he is 34 years older then her, but hey, he's Paul Newman. Everyone is overly stereotyped and seemed cardboardish. Anyhow, the whole thing is passable, but you see see Serpico or The French Connection if you want to see great films about New York cops.
