Not as good as last ep, but still solid.

So, it looks like we're getting into it now. It's going to be interesting to see where they intend to go with Geri's storyline. This was a solid episode, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the last one - I do, however, feel like it's setting up a potentially exciting episode for next time.

I'm fascinated to find out what 'Federal Crime' Micki's Mom has committed - that was a wild and unexpected twist!

It was good to see Hoyt again, and I'm glad that he went to bat for the Walker family. I still haven't forgiven him for standing Abi-Bear up though.

Ideally, Walker should keep his kids locked safely in a barn, because they're going to be the death of him. I have no idea where Trevor's revelation to his father is going to go, but it's definitely not going to end well for someone.

Majority of acting in this ep was good. Lindsey Morgan is currently the absolute backbone of the show, her performance is always on point.

I've got to say, I find the whole Emily thing a little weird; for a couple of episodes, Walker was all about finding out the 'truth' about her murder, but he seems to have dropped it like a hot rock - and now his former partner and brother (both of whom told him to stop looking into it) are investigating it? It just feels odd, even though I guess it's a set up to create conflict between Walker/Liam when he finds out that they've been hiding it from him.

I appreciate that they're trying to create a 'well rounded' character with flaws, but I'm really over the whole 'inept' thing that they have going on with Walker. I'm 100% here for him struggling to process his grief, figuring out how to reconnect with his kids and his wider family and struggling with the parts of his job that are morally grey - that's already a pretty interesting character. I just feel that making a Texas Ranger clumsy, uncoordinated and naive (shoots self with nail gun, can't drive shift, is apparently useless at practical projects, willingly gambles a $50,000 car with a guy he knows for a fact is shifty) is kind of a weird choice. I feel like at least once an episode he does something that makes me go 'how has he never accidentally shot himself?'
