I really don't understand the massively negative reviews on here? Mediocre and apathetic I could understand if it wasn't for you but to say you've wasted your time watching and consciously call it out as a very bad film I think is unfair.
It's true there is no obvious 'conclusion' to the film but what did you want? After all that happens do you think there was gong to be a happy ending?
I wanted to watch it straight again to see what bits I'd missed, and regroup my thoughts through a second watch. There were things I remembered only afterwards. Plus, it made me go and do some further reading on Guantanamo.
It's not a Hollywood blockbuster no. It doesn't spoon-feed you an immediately logical storyline that you can leave when the credits roll, and yes it is uncomfortable at times.
What it is is a very thought provoking film with as much or as little detail as you want to take away from it.
