Season 8, Episode 22

Now, it is finally over...

Warning: Spoilers
So « many » things to say about that series finale. The fact that it is full of plot holes, and that everything was handled so fast, made it the most anticlimactic, and rushed episode of the series. Episodes 20 and 21 caught my attention, and made me wonder if I wasn't too hard with my first impression of season 8. And I obviously was not. This finale episode proved the writing was so lazy it hurts. Things shifted in unbelievable ways, after they spent half of the season, preparing us for a big and spectacular showdown... The coda was depressing, not even heartwarming or heartbreaking. Aside from Paige, they weren't offered much to look forward to in their future, but to become leaving breathing incubators, and pursue love instead of demons. Not that there's something wrong with that, it's a noble cause. But still, it's not doing their eight years battle against evil, justice either. And I'm sorry, but Phoebe's endgame, still doesn't make sense to me (season 2 Cupid told her the love she felt for him, couldn't be real, so what changed?). Thankfully, we have previous seasons to rely on, and give the show that timeless charm and ability to genuinely entertain us, with such ease you wish it stayed that way all the time. So to conclude, season 8, in spite of its good moments, is still to be ignored or not taken seriously, just like the flop reboot must. Trust me...
