All for Love (2020)
5/10
Too long!

Warning: Spoilers
ALL FOR LOVE is supposed to be a love story with dramatic overtures. I started this novella and, 2 episodes later, decided the characters were too much...overacting, loud, etc. Two weeks later, I decided to keep going and it got me hooked. The love story between Joaquin and Irene was troubled from the start. Carlos Torres (Joaquin) played the innocent so well! It was a delight after his obnoxious role in Queen of Flow. But, the vengeful and jealous character development of Joaquin has turned me off almost completely. I was cheering every time his sister, Alba, would remind him of WHO he was before their mother died; of his love for Irene which was pure; and his bad turn as the Delios gang leader. The rest of the characters were equally loud, whiny, and the script covered unnecessary love lives, mingling all the minor characters in a confusing entangled web. The character called Cuellar, a total nut-job, was played to perfection by the character actor. In other words, this novella could have ended at around 40 episodes. The repetitious songs of Irene got boring after a while and would take too many minutes of time. This young actress was very talented, by the way, but her character was grating at times. All in all, a mediocre series.

In comparison, Queen of Flow, also VERY long, was much more interesting. Reggaeton rap is a lot more popular, I guess.
