Warning: Spoilers
Other reviewers have given you the synopsis, so I'll skip it. My take away from this movie is that a long term relationship , like ten years, without an actual commitment besides a shared lease...is not a failure when it ends. Mmmm, wrong. This is what you get when famous dummies go on social media and call their divorce a "conscious uncoupling ". No, it's a failed marriage, or a failed relationship. Doesn't matter how great you want to label it, it's still a fail. And it happens to almost everyone at some point. Why is everyone so afraid of failure? I've failed, more than a few times, so what. I've been married 20 plus years, if we make it to 30 and then divorce...it's a fail.

And as unlikely as it is that an impulsive marriage will work, sometimes they do. Maybe that's even better. If you're dating for 10 years and you're saying " oh but I love our life the way it is ", everyone is laughing at you. Not that you should care, you shouldn't but you should know that it's time to cut your losses.

And that camp, is it still a camp and if not, why the cabins and a carousel and a Ferris wheel? Oh it's a resort, with Paul Bunyan. That makes sense. Btw, the lead actress is 38 yrs old, a few years past having kids someday. Is it fair, no, but it is biology.

Annoying movie that clearly succeeded in pushing some if my buttons, I won't be rewatching it. I'd rather watch Midsommar again.
