The writers got a lot of Dean's role in this episode; the running gag that shows up a few times is one of the highlights of this season. However, the episode itself is pretty lame. The younger Nazi being a turncoat comes across as a mere plot mechanic. I am also unsure if such a fantastical show as Supernatural has any business using the Nazi in this silly manner. But worse of all, several scenes are staged with the swirling camera-which isn't something the show does that often and doesn't fit the vibe of the show.
