Good martial arts film...

Warning: Spoilers
I liked this film since it combines elements of Capoeira with the daily oppression black Brazilians had to face at the hands of white euros. However, I think it would have been a much better story if the film depicted Native Indigenous Brazilians using their own form of martial arts - huka-huka. Unfortunately, there is no depiction of the Indigenous and their struggles against oppression but rather the black Brazilian struggles. I'm not trying to be biased against anyone here however the setting in in Brazil, not Africa. So, why not show the Native Indigenous Brazilians as the real victims of the genocide. If the setting was in Africa or anywhere else, then that would have been different. But my favourite scene was when that girl used her Capoeira skills against that white guy who broke into her home. I thought that was real bad-ass. Anyway, this one earns a 7 out of 10.
