I fell in love with this show about 5 minutes into the first season! I watched each and every show with delight and nostalgia. Even though I didn't grow up with my family life living in Evening Shade, it was still a safer, quieter, slower time. The actors in this show were cast perfectly - there was no one I'd have changed out. The lines were written and delivered with such ease and great timing it was as if they did live those parts. Yes, you could sometimes see and know what was coming but that was part of the charm. About 3 or 4 years ago I decided that for Christmas each year one of my requested items would be a dvd series of shows no longer on but that I missed - and Evening Shade was the first one. It was.one of the best Christmas presents ever!
