Spoiler.... This show is hot trash infested demon spawn.
When I saw that there was going to be a show coming out with so many of the beloved Hanna Barbera characters it was one of the things I was most excited to see on HBO Max. I was a kid in the late 70s through the 80s enjoying so many that were hits from even before my time. Saturday Mornings and then in my adult years watching many classics on Boomerang when it was full of Hanna Barbera hits.
The animation turned me off before I even started watching it just from seeing the thumbnails for the episodes being serious it looks like a bunch of non artistic kindergarteners were hired to draw it.
The show itself started so terribly I made it about 4 minutes in and that was more than enough such terrible use of the brand I hope HBO takes this trash down and destroys it and black balls anyone who had any part in making it. Hire people who loved the shows and make a new classic with the heart of the originals.
People who come up with ideas like this just have clue waste time and brands trying to market classics to new generations or anyone other than those who love those classics are making huge mistakes. Young kids would rather watch some other kid through early 20s person doing silly stunts, playing with toys or video games on YouTube than watch actual TV shows. The only reason they would venture into a show based on classic cartoons is because I am watching it and they see how funny it is and sit and watch. My kids watch lots of old cartoons on their own now because the grew up watching it with me. Kids growing up watching with their parents or even grandparents shows that they used to watch is how you get kids into knowing and wanting to watch old properties that you want to breath life back into.
Still can't believe how sad it made me when I saw what they did to this having all these classic characters in one world should have been a Roger Rabbit type feeling not whatever this was supposed to be.
