I think the liveliness of this show really holds my attention. It has a somewhat farcical energy. It's very well-crafted. The actors are good.
Up until the last episode, I thought it kind of childish and that maybe I would have thought more highly of it when it originally came on in 2016. My feelings about it may have had to do with how much everyone has been through in the past 4-5 years. I'm weary because of all that so right now it felt like listening to inane chatter when someone you love just died.
When I hit the last episode of Season 1, though, I felt sad that it was over. It had grown on me. I really like Fred and Sam's relationship and the actor who played Sam was terrific and responsible for a truly hilarious moment in the final episode.
