He'll Never Try to Return a Scarf Again!
28 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not all parts of this worked as well for me, but overall, the style and cinematography holds it together, and I think I enjoyed it more than "...Body's Tears".

The first part is great - the actress playing the young Ana is very compelling and the set-up of strange goings-on with her grandparents made me keen to see what happened next...

I was less enamoured of the second part - there seemed to be little linkage to the first part, apart from the older Ana and her mother. The creation of the "confused teenager" mood was OK but nothing really happened...

The third part was better, in my view, but rather confusing and, for me, too much darkness (in the sense of "I can't see this"). I felt pretty sorry for the taxi driver, assuming that he was just there to return the forgotten scarf, and not expecting to run into a full-on psycho! Whether the "other" presence was Ana herself, or her grandmother, the house itself, or some other spirit from the first section I didn't really mind.... but the razors were a bit much!

Worth a look though.
