An okay show in need of better writers

Warning: Spoilers
Hannah Swensen seems to believe that she can investigate a murder, discover clues, and not have to share them with police, until she is ready.

Some complain that Aurora Teagarden's interference with police procedures is unrealistic. But the writers for that show rarely, if ever, have Aurora going to such extremes.

Add to that, that in each of the first two episodes, by the conclusion, Hannah is faced with the murderer pointing a gun at her, with every intention of killing her.

In each episode, Hannah escapes shaken but unscathed. This is just poor, lazy writing, and is distracting to a show that has a decent and capable cast.

Alison Sweeney, as Hannah Swensen, is a magnetic presence, who clearly deserves all the success that has come her way.

Cameron Mathison, as Detective Mike Kingston, is likable as a sort of foil and love interest for Hannah.

And Lisa Durupt, as Hannah's younger married sister Andrea, is enjoyably teasing and supportive.
