Becky Sharp (1935)
7/10
Game Changer Performance

I'll just say that Miriam Hopkins was never one of my fav actresses, but I loved her in this movie. She was terrific as Becky Sharp. The rest of the cast was good, too. The movie had less melodrama than others made in the 1930's, which sometimes tend to go overboard, especially with historical ones. But that doesn't happen with this film. The acting wasn't overacted and the dialogue didn't go over the top and sound phony. And the color was great! A very impressive (as well as entertaining) movie.
