Warning: Spoilers
I thought this was a pretty emotionally devastating and satisfying to the season. Each season has a really solid final episode or two, and this one is no exception. Seeing 11 read the note Hopper wrote for her was very devastating. Hopper's death itself was also surprisingly well-handled (even though he's clearly coming back for the last season).

This episode had some really good comedic moments, really good scary moments, great intensity, and some very good performances from absolutely everybody. That's pretty much how I felt about the whole season. It wasn't perfect, it started off slow and there were a handful of lines and earlier plot points that didn't do anything for me, but by the end, I was pretty content. This season ditched its mystery and intrigue and went right for horror and violence and I was fine with it.

So yeah, not for everybody. I get the criticism, but the good outweighed all of the bad for me this girl around. It'll be interesting to see where the last season goes.
