"Shanghai Joe" has a lot of goodwill going for it but not enough to save it. It tries to mix two different genres (spaghetti westerns and Kung Fu) but they mix like oil and water. I'm a fan of spaghetti westerns but I don't enjoy Karate flicks that much. There are a bunch of moments in "Shanghai Joe" that are just too silly. They drag everything down. Overall, it wasn't a very satisfying watch. Dishonorable mention: How little Klaus Kinski is actually in the movie.
