I know @sunwarrior13 posted some time ago, but I wholeheartedly disagree with his review of this episode. I googled 'why does (this specific episode) suck so much?
Samantha's arc was bittersweet but over the top and ridiculous. The acting feels over the top and not in line with her characterisation throughout the season building up to it. I suppose at the time her character arc would have been more alternative, but she ended up being portrayed as a crazy woman (who, then admittedly was proven to be right. But it was still ridiculous). However I do like that Big moved away as the hallmark of New York, showing that Carrie would have to grow up and away from him. Esp including his use of the world 'kid' pallarelled with the other father figures & stable male relationships who are in Carrie's life (or lack there of).
Just so cheesy.
