Looking at Sinister and hearing the plot you might think it all sounds very familiar. But watching Sinister you get a much better atmosphere and a different vibe. Dark corners in every way, subtle field sounds, silence, and an evil face lurking in the frames. Sinister doesn't rely on flashy horror music or CGI like most new age trilogies (some good some bad). The writing made the story and the family believable and authentic. This movie is a highlight for Ethan Hawke.
