Blindfire (2020)
10/10
Very good Indie-Film
23 October 2021
After reading the very opposing reviews and ratings from 1/10 to 10/10 I needed to watch this movie, where the late Halyna Hutchins was the director of photography. I didn't know anything about the 2017 Wichita swatting and fatal shooting before I started this movie. I only found out about it after searching for it when I read that the movie was based on real events. When I started the movie, it had me from the first moment. I think it was very well acted and directed. It sure is no movie for people who need action from start to end plus tons of special effects. This movie is no such film, it is closer to reality and still so well entertaining, it's dramatic, it's gripping, and it's telling a real story. So it is a very important movie. I'll leave it to future audiences to judge wether the police officer is racisst or not. The movie leaves us this decision and I must say it is thought triggering and sure a good base to start discussions. Long story short: I really enjoyed watching it and I can only recommend it to those who look for good quality of the art of movies rather then for boom boom crash boom bang.
