Made twenty years earlier, it would have been with the likes of Noburu Ando, Tsuruta Koji, or Bunta Sugawara, but with plenty more action and brutality. This product from the mid nineties is as gloomy but smoother and as effective as in the past. The film maker gave us ONIBI THE DEMON, back in 1999, another yakuza vehicle. Good character study pulled by mauch melancholy. Some touching moments.
