Aside from the fact that the main character is a pedophile, (I'll get into that in a minute), this was actually a decent film, for its genre. The film was filled with cliche, after cliche, and unrealistic plot twists. However, what made this film watchable was the lead actress, Cassidy Rae. Not only was she absolutely stunning looking, but in addition gave a surprisingly strong performance. She literally carried every scene of the film to the point you had to keep watching.
Now back to the pedophile part. The film tried to get around the fact that the male lead, was interested in underage girls by pointing out that Cassidy's character was 18. Ok, but what about the fact that he he's hanging out at high school basketball games picking up on cheerleaders. Let's face it, the majority of them are underage, and he never once asked her her age to make sure he was pursuing a legal adult. In fact, the film ends with him back in the stands looking for another cheerleader to obsess over.
That said, the film despite being riddled with cliches, was mindlessly fun to watch. Great sound track too. How they could afford the rights to the Cranberries, 'Dreams" is a small mystery to me. But a pleasant surprise.
