Jorge Ameer has written a beautiful theme. Unfortunately there are some Technical problems that kept it from being a 10. One of the major things things was the sound. Unfortunately it was very inconsistent I wear headphones to watch movies. I was very thankful I had closed captioning turned on. Another major technical issue was the editing and continuity. I know from reading some of the press the movie was originally 3 hours long. Cutting that much run time is not easy. One of the most obvious areas was where it went from Roy telling Victor he proposed to Alina the time jump edit cut to show wedding picture cut and time jump to fertility issues. Which in my opinion was bungled,mangled and poorly written. I think rather than the hack job edits, some reshooting would have helped.
The ending you will not see coming. The implications mind blowing heart breaking too! Michael Joseph Nelson as Roy at times seems a bit dry and stiff. Keith Roenke as Victor made a valiant attempt but I think in the end Jorge Ameer dropped the ball.
