. . . title character of THE JAZZ FOOL often waged war against musical instruments. This animated short finds the raunchy rodent pounding a piano repeatedly with his fists. The vile viciousness of this keyboard abuse surely was instrumental for instigating the national craze of smashing organs and pianos with sledge hammers during America's Great Depression. One can blame Mickey the Malicious Mini Mammal for making it so hard Today to buy a set of ivories more than a century old.
