I get that this isn't highly regarded among slasher fans as a top tier example of the genre, but I keep returning to it, so I guess I have to consider myself a fan. I think it is the psychic link and my affinity for sorority gals trying to survive a night as a psychopath preys upon them. While I guess it lacks a certain personality style-wise, some of the camera choices and handheld work I thought were effective. I think none of the college students gathered at the sorority house being too obnoxious or tiresome (even if they aren't the most memorable among these types of films) helps a lot. The killer does sort of feels like a throwback to the kinds of colorless lunatics from the likes of Slumber Party Massacre and He Knows You're Alone.
