Clichéd plots, off-the-peg set-pieces (bad kids hanging out in skateboarding park, detectives dressed like fashion models, etc), flat expository dialogue and uninspired direction means it's hard to care that the central character is, interestingly, 'on the spectrum'. The result is just a UK variation on the US cop show Monk, but without the arguable charm (or the Randy Newman theme tune). This is a pretty poorly developed show, and feels dull and over-familiar five minutes in. Some ok acting, but nothing really special or distinctive . One episode was more than enough.
