The Ape Woman (1964)
7/10
watching her in her cage

Marco Ferreri the director never looking at the easiest idea, his biggest and sexy and gross with eating and sex to death in La Grande Bouffe (1973) and earlier the lust-ridden anarchy of Tales of Ordinary Madness (1981) based on Bukowski. Both films most funny but not an easy view especially on this The Ape Woman (1964) staring Ugo Tognazzi (La Cage Aux Folles (1978) and Annie Girardot. Her parts, a matter of hundreds of films, like The Piano Teacher (2001) and Rocco and Brothers (1960) but this one was her most terrible like of animal pelt like skin. The black and white edgy idea of Ferreri is difficult because where have the woman looking and not people looking at her but then she begins to see she might make money and fame. First watching her in her cage or even in Paris and a striptease it is awful and amusing to watch.
