The writing and dialogue may not be on par with the Before trilogy (which this film is almost always inevitably compared to) but the almost palpable chemistry between the two actors still makes it work well enough to be an entertaining watch. If a romance movie makes you feel like "Hey I wish I could experience something like this" then imo the film did its job.
And any film that relies entirely on dialogue to be entertaining is worthy of admiration because it is not really something easy to pull off.
