The Godfather meets Mahabharata
8 March 2022
Exactly what you'd expect when it's The Godfather meeting Mahabharata in the hands of Amal Neerad. His signature style of slow motion throughout the film along with Sushin Sham's music made the first half exhilarating with all the build ups. The first half was way better than I expected in that sense but then everything was rushed so much in the end that it didn't reach the potential it had but still made an entertaining watch.

It's been a long time since Mammootty has been seen as stylish and menacing as in this. The whole ensemble cast was fantastic and stylish at the same time in a way rarely seen in Malayalam films. The songs included, even if it doesn't feel like really leading up to it, gives enough swag to everyone involved that they work so well. This is one of those films that could've been way better if it had more runtime. A 30 minute addition would have worked very well.

The small but dominating presence of both of the late actors Nedumudi Venu and KPAC Lalitha was a cherry on top.
