I am not a fan of overly "feel good" movies where everything always seems to go right in the end for the protagonist. You know the films where as soon as you sit down you know exactly how it's going to end. That is what I expected when I bought my tickets for this movie. Now that being said .....
Kim Bass steps to the plate and knocks it out of the park with Tyson's Run! Major Dodson takes you on a journey of the life of a young man as he navigates thru high school , family , and his community while dealing with all the challenges of being on the autism spectrum. Seeing Tyson take on the challenges he must face, with such valor was amazing to watch on screen. As I waited for the antagonist to be revealed in this movie I soon realized that role was occupied by nearly every person in his life. This gave the viewer a real insight to the struggles people with autism most deal with on a day to day basis. For Tyson the solution is simple ...RUN!
