I enjoyed watching this as it contains all the usual elements of a crime drama like drug dealing, assault, kidnapping, murder and even a bit of eye candy at the strip club but it does fall a bit flat. I don't think the characters are really believable and the plot is too predictable - it was made obvious for a long time that a lot of screws were bent and we were honestly expected to be surprised by that fact at the end of the film. I also don't think that Noel Clarke's character would have switched sides in the last action scene, only to turn snitch and insist that the other drug dealing prisoner who he scalded, slashed and kicked to a pulp earlier in the film got special treatment as a condition of grassing! The character of the governor wasn't credible either, it was hard to make out whether he was a do-gooder or bent, his attitude to the transferred prisoner and his own guards made no sense.
