Fitting conclusion to an otherwise mediocre franchise
7 April 2022
First, I'll sum my thoughts about this series: I really hated the first TWILIGHT, I found the second slightly better, I kinda liked the third one (and probably deserves to be named the best in the franchise) but the fourth one was a huge step backwards to badness, and when this final chapter ended I thought ''Thank God it's finally over''. Now I can go to the review.

After the events of the previous chapter (with Bella suffering a lot with her pregnancy until Renesmee finally is born, and she finally turns into a vampire) Bella makes her father believe that the child was adopted. Unfortunately tho Irina sees Renesmee in the woods and thinks she is an immortal child; she goes to the Volturi tribe for reporting this. After a vision the Cullens have to rally more witnesses as possible for proving that Renesmee is not an immortal child. After a long, pointless and dull fight between the vampires, wolves and Volturis the Cullens are finally free and Bella says Edward that they will love and live together forever.

The acting was decent at best. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner looked like they matured acting-wise and Michael Sheen and Rami Malek stand out in the supporting cast. The photography was great and on par with the soundtrack. However, the problems with this conclusion are some stilted acting by Maggie Grace (Irina) and the battle scene that at times looked like it had to last forever.

Overall, I think this is probably the best way this cringeworthy movie franchise could have ended, and I really felt relieved as I finally had to stop torturing myself watching this nonsense. Only of interest for true bad movie fans or if you are forced to stay home.
