Maggie is brilliant , a cunning elderly widow who exaggerates dementia to keep her 35 year old son Arthur at home , by sabotaging his social life , work etc . Then add in the older brother / wife Rob and Liz who are wealthy and avoid taking responsibility for Maggie . It's all up to Arthur - which makes hilarious viewing . Maggie will stoop to anything to keep Arthur home with her .
Arthur cannot bring a date home , or even have a dare . Maggie will use dementia to sabotage it all
