I thought this was going to be a flop starring Jerry Butler, but I was wrong.

And I'm glad that I was wrong. I like him as an actor but he always seems to land in weird/unsuitable roles. Here he does fairly well at a Liam Neeson sort of part. Some dialog delivery makes you crack a smile due to his thick accent but in a lovable way.

The movie starts out a bit clunky but stick with it because when it gets going, it REALLY gets going. One thing it did very well was the building of tension and keeping it there. I couldn't stop watching. I needed to see what happens next.

The score was also excellent for the situations and drove the tension even higher.

You'll kind of feel like you're watching Taken for the 1st time again which I mean as a compliment. Similar kind of setup but not a copy. Rather, in the same category, perhaps. You get that same edge-of-your-seat emotional high from it.

The acting was great altogether from the cast. This was a fulfilling movie experience. Pure entertainment. Also, nothing in the way of politics or politically correct stuff which we're all sick of. It's just a gripping film that you can sit back and go along for the ride. That's a rarity these days.

Watch it. There's not much to complain about.
